Testing the speed of inkjets

When consumers and businesses are on the lookout for new printers, there are many different issues for them to consider. For example, they may be keen to select devices that enable them to keep their printer ink costs down to a minimum. Also, they might been eager to select products that produce documents very quickly.

Commenting on this particular variable, Hardware.Info noted that there has traditionally been a “sizeable gap” between inkjets and their laser counterparts.

However, things are changing, the news source stated. It remarked: “While we’ve been able to depend on these age-old truisms for a long time, things have become less black-and-white in recent years. Inkjets have become faster.” For example, Epson has claimed that some of its inkjets are just as fast as laser printers.
To test out exactly how quick the different products were, Hardware.Info put a range of inkjets to the test.

It concluded that inkjets can indeed be “very fast”, adding: “Both the Epson WorkForce Pro WP-4525 DNF and the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus can hold their own against the laser printers in this test, while the printing cost is kept low.” With this in mind, the news source gave the printers a Gold Award.

Of course, regardless of the kind of printers people buy, they will need to stock up on ink every so often in order to keep it them in operation. These days, many individuals choose to head online to get the products.

This can be quicker and cheaper than other forms of shopping and there is a broad selection of items for people to choose from. Whether they are after Dell printer cartridges, Canon toner cartridges or anything else, they should be able to find them with ease. All they need is a web connection and a spare few moments.
