Tuning-minded Mercedes fans will no doubt be familiar with the name Brabus; the high-performance aftermarket company that has been injecting a little something extra into Mercedes-Benz cars for more than three decades.

To tie in with the recent European launch of the 2012 Mercedes B Class, Brabus released its first facelift package for the popular little MPV. The German tuner’s initial take on the car is limited to interior and exterior packages, although Eco PowerXtra performance updates for gasoline and diesel engines will be available later this year.

Externally, the main feature of the Brabus package is the aero kit, which includes a front spoiler and rear apron; the latter doubling as a home for the diffuser and new quad tailpipes.
There is a new look for the wheels, too – buyers have five different alloy variants to choose from, and can wrap them in performance rubber from Continental, Pirelli or Yokohama. A 30mm lowering kit and sports springs offer improved vehicle dynamics and a meaner look to boot.

Customers will also have plenty of options for kitting out the cabin, including two-tone stainless steel scuff plates, aluminum door lock pins, leather upholstery and a whole range of audio and multimedia entertainment options.

Great news if you want a B Class with a bit of extra bite – but even if you don’t, a visit to your local specialist Mercedes dealer new Mercedes B Class will demonstrate that the B Class doesn’t need to be souped up to be something a bit special.
